Description

Antique waxed pine wood arch top box coffer chest made around 1920 in Eastern Europe probably. Fairly large size. Dovetailed corners; iron straps on the top; metal drop handles on the end. There's a working lock and key. Condition is pretty good structurally: it's solid and heavy; gap between planks in the base, little bit of flex there but wouldn't affect most reasonable uses; cosmetically there are plenty of scuffs, dings and marks as expected with the age (see pics). A few little woodworm holes in the base but nothing that looks recent; we've treated it anyway for good measure. The interior is clean and has been waxed. Dimensions: 98cm x 51cm x 55cm high
